This portrait of Rizwan Javed MBE was completed over 3 months as part of series 4 of BBC One's Extraordinary Portraits. The portrait tells the story of Rizwan, who works on the Elizabeth Line on London's underground network, has intervened and saved the lives of 29 vulnerable people. His compassion, strength and empathy has not only had a direct impact on those whose lives he has saved but he has also set up a mental health charity, Untangled 29, that supports and promotes positive mental health.
